ORTHO BENZYLE CHLORO PHENOL

USES   :   O.B.C.P.    is   used   as   an   active   ingredient     in    themanufacture of  disinfectants.    O.B.C.P.  is   a  powerful bactericide fungicide germicide and an excellent  base for germs killing formulation used for Hygeine and sterility.

APPEARANCE  :   O.B.C.P. is a dark brownish pink coloured liquid.

ODOUR  :  Characteristic Phenolic Odour.

SOLUBILITY  :   O.B.C.P is practically insoluble in water

Soluble in Alcohol, Acetone, I.P.A., Methanol,

Benzene and Ether.

Soluble in most anionic surfactants (5% OBCP in 25%

Castor Oil Soap gives a clear solution).

Method adopted as per IS No.1061:1997 using the composition:
